Geert Verellen will be Maple Leaf Foods Inc.’s new Chief Financial Officer, effective January 6.
He takes over from Debbie Simpson who announced in August that she would leave the company Nov. 1.
Verellen has been regional chief financial officer for Walmart Canada, India and Japan and before that worked for a food retail company in Belgium.
