Grilling a one-ton cheeseburger


The Black Bear Casino Resort, near Carlton, Minn., set a Guinness-verified record over Labor Day weekend by grilling a 2,014-pound bacon cheeseburger.

It weighed a ton, was 10 feet wide and was garnished with 60 pounds of bacon, 50 pounds of lettuce, 50 pounds of sliced onion, 40 pounds of pickles and 40 pounds of cheese.

They cooked it for four hours at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

They needed a crane to flip the thing.

The previous record-holder was 881 pounds, 13 ounces.

You have to wonder about those Americans. And so many of them vote Republican.                         -
