Company fined for faking kosher

Creation Foods Company of Woodbridge has been fined $25,000 for faking a claim that its cheeses met kosher protocols and standards.

It sold the cheeses to two Jewish youth camps.

The violation arises from Food and Drug Administration regulations governing labeling and advertising, but it’s the Canadian Food Inspection Agency that investigated and laid the charges to which the company pleaded guilty.
