JBS USA Is paying $20 million to settle a class-action
price-fixing lawsuit over pork prices charged consumers in the United States.
Judge John R. Tunheim also approved $6.6 million in
plaintiffs’ attorneys’ fee.
Originally filed in 2018, the
case alleged price-fixing behavior by Clemens, Hormel, Indiana Packers,
JBS USA, Seaboard Foods, Triumph Foods, and Tyson, along with the data analysis
firm Agri Stats.
