Ryding-Regency charges remain in court


 Canadian Food Inspection Agency charges filed against Ryding-Regency beef-packing plant in Toronto remain in court.


The next court date is Feb. 28.


As a result of an investigation by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), charges were laid on June 10, 2021, against Ryding-Regency Meat Packers Ltd., Beef Boutique Ltd., Canadian Select Meat Inc., and Anthony Petronaci, Ellen Cosman, and Chuck Oulton of Toronto.


They are charged with false or misleading statements, with failure to take immediate action to correct food-safety-related deficiencies and for selling harmful food.
