Brendan Bryne has been chosen chairman of the Ontario Farm
Products Marketing Council, taking over immediately from Amy Cronin.
The council is one of the most powernful political positions
in Ontario agriculture because it supervises all of the 51 marketing boards.
Bryne has been a member of the council, chairman of Grain
Farmers of Ontario,
vice chair of the Presidents Council and former chair of the
Essex County Soil and
Crop Improvement Association.
He is a graduate of the Advanced Agricultural Leadership
Program (AALP) and currently manages a cash crop farm operation that has been
in his family for more than 100 years.
