A salad-making company from California is setting up a
processing plant in Brantford that will employ 70 people and plans to expand to
130 the next year.
Misionero Vegetables serves both conventional and organic
markets and both retail and foodservice customers.
Misionero was started by Floyd Griffin in 1973 and now is
run by his childen.
It has processing plants at Gonzales and Salinas,
California, and Yuma, Arizona.
