Pesticide warning signs available.

The Ontario Pesticides Education Program has developed signs farmers can use to warn people that pesticides have been applied in a field.

This is most useful in cases where people ought to stay away for a period of time after pesticides have been applied.

With a bright red stop sign shape, the two designs available warn others in English, French and Spanish to stay out due to the potential danger of pesticides.

The foot-square signs are made of corrugated plastic or laminated cardstock and are ready for indoor or outdoor use.

One design offers space for the pesticide applicator to write when it is safe to enter the area.

So what took these aggie types so long? Lawn signs have been posted for decades by lawn spray service providers.
