Genetic exports garner subsidy

The federal government is giving $3 million to the Canadian Livestock Genetics Association (CLGA) to help it boost exports.

There will be support for exports of dairy, sheep and goat genetics, which in 2016 generated revenues of more than $150 million.

The CLGA aims to increase that to more than $200 million through trade missions, training and promotion.
