Grain growers joins national group

Grain Farmers of Ontario has become a member of Grain Growers of Canada.

Markus Haerle, chair of Grain Farmers of Ontario, attended the annual meeting and was elected vice-chair of the national organization.

Mark Brock, Barry Senft and Crosby Devitt also attended.
 
Ernie Hardeman, newly-named Ontario agriculture minister, and Haerle spoke to the national organization during a dinner at Woodrill Farm near Guelph.

Also attending were Lloyd Longfield, MP for Guelph, Michael Chong, MP for Wellington-Halton Hills, district 5 director Scott Persall and district 10 director, Henry Van Ankum.
