The plant is shut down while the Canadian Food Inspection Agency continues to track down company customers.
The most recent additions include a number of halal-standard products. The company was one of Canada’s largest suppliers of kosher beef and veal.
The recall is because the products may be tainted with E. Coli 0157:H7 food-poisoning bacteria.
The CFIA says on its website that there have been no illnesses reported by people who have consumed Ryding-Regency beef or veal.
