All school children in the United States are eligible for free food through a program run by the United States Department of Agriculture.
And now things have been relaxed so meals can be picked up at curbside, so parents and guardians can fetch food for their children and so meals can be provided available outside of standard times.
“As our nation recovers and reopens, we want to ensure that children continue to receive the nutritious breakfasts and lunches they count on during the school year wherever they are, and however they are learning,” Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue said in a news release.
