Ontario Agriculture Minister Ernie Hardeman announced his support for a private member’s bill, but it’s not in the legislature but in the federal Parliament in Ottawa.
He put out a news media announcement saying he supports Bill C-206 that would exempt qualifying farmers from paying the carbon tax on propane and natural gas.
He said the tax will make it harder for farmers to heat their barns and greenhouses to supply food for Canadians.
C'mon Ernie. You must have better things to do to help farmers.
