The Canadian Food Inspection Agency reports an outbreak of
highly-pathogenic avian influenza in Grimsby.
It said it was in a small non-poultry flock.
That notice came hours after a similar one in Brant County
and less than a week after an outbreak in a commercial flock near Tavistock in
Oxford County.
The disease is likely being carried by migrating birds, just
as was the case during the spring migration.
