Farm machinery shortage will persist

The shortage of new farm equipment will persist into next year and possibly into 2024, said a report from Farm Credit Canada this week.

The report is an update of one a year ago that said supplies were tight and would remain so for a year.

The supply-chain failures that made it hard to get parts seem to have eased on the Prairies, dealers report.

The new machinery market it tightest for large four-wheel-drive tractors and air seeders.
