The appeal filed by Paul Tzellos and his Premier Kosher Poultry has been set for a public hearing Sept. 7 and 8.
The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs appeal tribunal held a preliminary hearing of the appeal against the Chicken Farmers of Ontario marketing board in May.
Meanwhile neither the chicken board nor the Association of Ontario Chicken Processors will say anything about a tribunal hearing into an appeal the processors filed recently.
The tribunal said its panel decided it lacks jurisdiction to deal with the appeal and said reasons for its decision will follow.
