The Ontario Pork marketing board is launching what it calls its own online news channel.
It will feature stories about Ontario pork-iindustry people. Seems more like propaganda than news - kind of like CNN and Fox News.
“Across Ontario there are thousands of people who each day put in an incredible amount of hard work to feed Ontario and the world,” said board chairman John de Bruyn,
“We want to share these stories and celebrate these people. Ontario Pork News will be that conduit for us to tell the positive stories happening across the industry.”
From farmers to butchers, chefs to restaurant owners, truckers to veterinarians, nutritionists to processors, OP News will follow the outstanding work of the people who are not only feeding Ontario but also the world.
Each story will be posted on the YouTubechannel https://www.youtube.com/@ontarioporknews and a new video will be posted every two weeks. Each story will also be shared across all our social media accounts to engage a wide range of viewers.
“There are so many misconceptions about agriculture floating around and there really isn’t a countering voice”, said Steff Lebrocq, Meat Manager at Market Fresh in Guelph.
“With so many jobs in agriculture available, I believe Ontario Pork News will be a
great way to showcase the many great professions in agriculture while highlighting all of the positive contributions of the agricultural industry.”
