contest at the Iowa State Fair, ”Reggie” of Austin, Ind., set a new weight
record at 1,335 pounds.
Reggie is heavier than “Freight
Train,” the 2008 Winner at 1,246 pounds.
Reggie, owned by Rick and Jody
Stockdale. It’s the first non-Iowa boar to take the top prize at the Big Boar
competition in at least a decade
Reggie won the 2011 Indiana State
Fair title as the “World’s Largest Male Hog,” at 1,305 pounds, but didn’t
compete in his home state this year because the Iowa fair dates conflicted.
