The McCain family has been feuding ever since brothers Wallace and Harrison split over which next-generation sons would run the french-fries empire.
Wallace stalked off to Toronto with sons Michael and Scott, the sons Harrison spurned, and he made a deal with the Ontario Teachers Pension Fund to buy Maple Leaf Foods Inc.
Now son Michael, head of Maple Leaf Foods, has sold his company's only potato business, one in Alberta, to hated McCain rivals, the Irving family and its Cavendish Farms french-fries business.
