A political fixer in Indonesia has been found
with a naked 19-year-old woman and a suitcase stuffed with more than $100,00 in
a hotel room.
He apparently won the money and the naked lady
for arranging to grant a beef import permit for Indoguna Utama company.
Charged is Ahmad Fathanah, a personal aide to Luthfi
Hasan Ishaaq, chairman of Indonesia’s Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), which in
2009 won the fourth-highest number of seats in the House of Representatives on
a platform of personal morality and zero tolerance for corruption, the New York
Times has reported.
Luthfi resigned and was arrested, while other
senior PKS leaders, including Agriculture Minister Suswono, have been
questioned but not charged.
