Two more finishing barns have been hit by outbreaks of
Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea virus, one in Huron, the other in Bruce County.
That brings the total in Ontario to 47 since the first
outbreak in Middlesex County in late January.
Unlike Ontario, the hog industries in Manitoba, Quebec and
Prince Edward Island have been able to contain outbreaks; they each have
recorded one.
