Poles eye Canadian apple market

Are you ready for apples from Poland?

Katarzyna Kacpercyzk, the Polish politician in charge of economic diplomacy, says Poland wants a slice of the Canadian apple market, and is encouraged by the completion of negotiations for a trade deal between Canada and the European Union.

Poland is the world’s biggest apple exporter and second only to China in apple production.

And it has noticed that Canadians eat about $100 million worth of apples from the United States every year.

Kacpercyzk mentioned apples as an example of opportunities Poland wants to develop in Canada, including investments flowing both ways.
