Fred Stulp of Arriss, north of Guelph, and Sarah Judd of Simcoe
have been appointed to two–year terms on the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture,
Food and Rural Affairs Appeal Tribunal.
Stulp has been a beef, hog, dairy, egg and chicken farmer
and now runs a cash cropping operation while he pursues Master of Business Administration and
Certified Professional Accountant degrees at Wilfrid Laurier University in
Waterloo.
He has also worked in food processing for 17 years.
Judd farms at Meadow Lynn Farms and is land application
co-ordinator for Wessuc Inc., a biosolids disposal company.
The tribunal deals with appeals involving marketing boards,
drainage, crop insurance and religious objections to paying annual fees to the
Ontario Federation of Agriculture or the Christian Farmers Federation of
Ontario or the Ontario Branch of the National Farmers Union.
It's nice to see two farmers appointed instead of more lawyers.
