MacKay to head national group

Crystal MacKay is stepping up from the Ontario to the national Farm & Food Care organization.

She will continue as Ontario’s executive director until the board of directors hires a new person.

“Crystal has provided strong leadership and made significant contributions to both development and continued growth of Farm & Food Care Ontario and our founding groups during her 11-year tenure," said John Maaskant, Chair of Farm & Food Care Ontario.
“The organization is in a great position,” said Maaskant. “It now has a proven track record and the strength and experience of a highly capable leadership team that supports our mandate for building public trust in Ontario.”

“Farm & Food Care is on a great path for growth. The need for a shared strategic investment in public trust in food and farming continues to expand across sectors and across the country,” said Bruce Christie, Chair of Farm & Food Care Canada. “Crystal has managed our national work on a part-time basis since the charity was formed, and we look forward to continuing to build on the momentum we’ve already gained.”

Farm & Food Care Canada is a national charity with the mandate to build public trust in food and farming in Canada. Farm & Food Care Ontario is the provincial affiliate of Farm & Food Care Canada, with a focus on delivering programming in Ontario.
