Texas university has salmonella vaccine

The University of Texas reports that a salmonella vaccine administered orally to mice has been working.

The research at the medical school at Galveston follows earlier trials injecting the vaccine against Salmonella typherium.

It is the only vaccine that has worked to counter salmonella which is a serious food-poisoning bacteria.

There is no mention in the research report of the potential applications for livestock, dairy and poultry farms.
