DowDuPont Agriculture Division picked
a trade show in Brazil to launch its new premium brand for corn and soybean
seed.
It will be available in Canada,
Europe and Latin America but not the United States.
"We are excited to announce the
Brevant™ brand that, as we progress toward the creation of the standalone
Agricultural Company, will join the Pioneer® brand as the Agriculture
Division's premium global seed brands," said Tim Glenn, Agriculture
Division Seeds Business Platform vice president.
"Growers can trust seed products
bearing the Brevant™ brand because they will be backed with the latest seed
innovations and proven to deliver outstanding results."
The Brevant™ brand will replace the
Dow Seeds® brand over the coming months following the merger of Dow and
DuPont."
No matter what you call it, the new company replaces two that used to be in competition to meet farmers' needs.
Brevant? Maybe Briefer is a better description.
