The day-long event on March 3 will
deal with all aspects of tree management.
GRCA forestry staff, along with
experts from Pollination Guelph and other agencies will speak about topics
ranging from broad forest health issues to impacts on individual trees.
Local tree and restoration companies
will also exhibit products and services.
Topics include planting, pruning,
common tree diseases, invasive species, hazard trees, forest health,
pollinators, management plans and grant opportunities for rural landowners.
Landowners with properties greater
than five acres may be eligible for funding for tree planting or wetland
creation projects. Priority is given to areas directly adjacent to
watercourses.
Participation is free and lunch is
included.
