Ontario Agriculture Minister Ernie Hardeman said the Manufacturing Acceleration program in Tillsonburg, is receiving up to $32,500 through the Rural Economic Development program.
He also said his riding will get $16,500 for a study to identify key issues and strategic priorities for the next three to five years for the Rural Oxford Economic Development Corporation.
The Manufacturing Acceleration program aims to enhance “the competitiveness of local business through the adoption of new technology and software programs,” Hardeman said in a news release.
“It will also encourage a more integrated manufacturing sector in Tillsonburg that will help to create new jobs and contribute to the economic development of the community.”
Hardeman said “rural Ontario has been ignored for too long. A strong and vibrant agriculture and agri-food sector directly contributes to a healthy economy across the province, and we are committed to showing the world that Ontario is open for business,”
