B.C. man wins forage award

Bill Awmack of Abbotsford, B.C., a professional agrologist and sales manager for Quality Seeds West, is this year’s winner of the Canadian Forage and Grasslands Association Leadership Award.

 He has been an active volunteer on the British Columbia Forage Council (BCFC) since its inception.

He provided “invaluable support to the new generation of forage-focused agrologists in B.C.,” the association said in making the award during its annual meeting Thursday.

Awmack is treasurer on the British Columia Forage Council’s board of directors and is a member of the Canadian Seed Trade Association.
