GRCA invested $3.7 million with farmers

The Grand River Conservation Authority invested $3.7 million in projects initiated by farmers last year.

It was the first conservation authority in Ontario to offer subsidies to farmers to protect well water which cities such as Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge depend on.

The subsidies are for projects such as tree planting, fencing cattle out of streams and rivers, building manure storages and reducing soil erosion.
