CFIA to test California Romaine lettuce
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is going to sample and test Romaine lettuce from California between Sept. 28 and Dec. 22 for food-poisoning bacteria.
It follows a similar testing protocol instituted last year after Romaine lettuce from California was found responsible for a number of food poisonings for several years.
The issue might be contaminated in the irrigation water the growers use.
