Nine rabies cases in Ontario in June

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency confirmed nine cases of rabies in Ontario in June.

Six were skunks, two were bats and one was a raccoon.


There were 15 cases across Canada that month.


Ontario has had 19 cases since the beginning of the year out of a total of 69 fir Canada.


The Ontario government has been placing baited vaccines in urban areas and plans aircraft drops in rural areas.
