General
Mills issued a recall for 10 million pounds of flour and within a few
hours issued another recall for Nature Valley protein and nut bars
.
The
flour recall is because of E. Coli 0121 suspected of poisoning 38
people in 20 states.
The
Nature Valley recall is because of Listeria monocytogenes. That
recall notice from General Mills headquarters in Minneapolis was
followed by a similar recall notice from the Canadian Food Inspection
Agency.
So
far the CFIA has said nothing about General Mills flour or products
containing its flour.
The
flour, sold under a number of different brand names, was made between
Dec. 15 and May 3.
