Feds offer $25 million for “clean technology”

Federal Agriculture Minister Lawrence MacAulay has promised $25 million for a new federal-provincial agricultural clean technology program.

He said it will be open to provincial and territorial governments who “are encouraged to work with industry on projects that focus on precision agriculture and/or bioproducts.

“This $25 million, three-year investment will help the agricultural sector reduce greenhouse gas emissions through the development and adoption of clean technologies,” he said by way of a news release while he was on a farm in Quebec.
