Before he left he tweeted angry blasts about Canada’s milk supply management system and said it must go if there’s to be a successful negotiation of a North American Free Trade Agreement.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau maintained his support for supply management.
During the meeting, Trump seemed to be friendly to Canada, even praising Trudeau.
But as soon as he got back on the plane, he tweeted angry reactions to Trudeau’s refusal to yield to Trump’s call for a NAFTA review every five years.
And Trump reversed his agreement with the communiqué issued at the end of the G-7 conference and instructed his officials to refuse to sign it.
He’s now on an island where he is to meet with North Korean President Kim Yong Un on Tuesday.
