The German government is offering financial support for Canadians studying at universities in Germany.
Many who normally take part-time jobs have not been able to work because of COVID-19 and they are the ones who can get subsidies for July and August.
“In order for students from Canada to be able to use the interim aid, they must prove that they are currently in a financial emergency due to the pandemic, for example, because their part-time job has been cancelled.
“Depending on the situation of the applicant, the bridging allowance varies between 100 and 500€ per month. MyGermanUniversity advises all Canadian students enrolled at German universities to make use of this option,” the government said in a news release.
