The person who sought the list of Farm Business Registrations was only trying to drum up business helping farmers recover money from Hydro One.
Jeremy Poteck of Poteck Power has stepped out of the shadows to reveal that he was the one who filed the Freedom-of-Information request that sent the Ontario Federation of Agriculture and the Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario into a tizzy.
They feared that the application was filed by animal rights activists or some similar anti-farming organization.
And they successfully persuaded the government to not release the list of names.
Poteck explained that he helps people and companies who face inflated bills for hydro.
He helps them check their billing information and get back money.
