There is $3 million available in this third tranche of funding for the Agricultural Stewardship Initiative.
This brings the total to $12.5 million since the fund was set up two years ago.
“The opportunities offered under the Agricultural Stewardship Initiative will support producers in understanding how much energy is used on their farms, and in implementing energy efficiency improvements that can reduce electrical and fossil fuel use and the rising costs of agricultural production,” said Eleanor Renaud, president of the Ontario Soil and Crop Association which administers the program.
