Premium Brands of Vancouver has paid $688 million to buy Stampede Culinary Partners of Bridgeview, Illinois.
It also has facilities in Cambridge, Ont., Oak Lawn and Bedford Park in Illinois, Sunland Park, New Mexico, El Paso, Texas and Alma, Georgia.
It is a partner with DL Lee & Sons, making it the largest capacity of sous vide meats in North America.
Premium Brands has bought dozens of food companies, is a major provider of sandwiches to companies such as Starbucks and owns
Belmont Meats and Piller’s Meats and Delicatessens in Ontario.
Wynnchurch Capitsl bought Stampede in 2017 and spent $36 million on an expansion in New Mexico and a 10-million-pound oven expansion in Georgia.
