Deadstock scattered on highway

About three tonnes of deadstock was scattered on a highway near Port Dover when a truck overturned on Tuesday afternoon.

It took until about 10 p.m. to clean up the mess of dead chickens and livestock, and for the local firemen to wash down the site to keep it from attracting predators.

A 36-year-old Exeter man who was driving the truck was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
