Milk truck crash kills tractor driver


A 46-year-old man is dead after the tractor he was operating was hit from behind by a transport truck carrying milk Wednesday afternoon near the tractor-driver’s place in Woolwich Township.
Waterloo Region police officers were called to Northfield Drive East and Hill Street in Woolwich around 2:40 p.m. Both vehicles had been travelling north on Northfield Drive East when the transport truck collided with the tractor, police said.
The tractor operator was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Police have not identified the man.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
