Burnbrae Farms has
expanded its long-standing support for poultry research at the University of
Guelph by gifting $500,000 for Dr. Alexander Harlander to study egg-industry
housing systems.
She will also
examine hen behaviour and biology.
Burnbrae is the
largest egg-producing and egg-grading company in Canada.
One of the family
members who own Burnbrae, Helen Anne Hudson, is chair of the Ontario Poultry
Industry Council which is heavily involved in poultry research promotion,
planning and co-ordination.
