Four more farms in Iowa have had outbreaks, bringing the
total there to 49 flocks that are being eliminated. There are 15 in Buena Vista
county alone; the state has 13 counties.
Nebraska had its first outbreak this week, taking down a
1.7-million-bird egg-layer operation.
Canada is likely to join Ecuador and Hong Kong in adding
Nebraska to the list of states from which it will not accept any poultry
products.
