Holstein statue defaced with swastika

Racists have sprayed a swastika on a Holstein statue in a park in Woodstock, home to Holsteins Canada offices.

Police are investigating a string of racist graffiti marks spray painted over night across multiple locations in Woodstock,

The statue of Springbank Snow Countess was erected in 1937 to honour her record milk production.

Police say racist comments and profanities were also found on a church, a number of vehicles, garage doors, and the side of a house.

"The community is in general dismay," said acting Sgt. Mike Beattie.

The black graffiti is believed to have caused an estimated $2,000 in damage.
