Maryland bans some antibiotic uses

Maryland is banning the use of antibiotics for anything other than treating sick animals and birds. It takes effect Jan.1.

It follows California which was the first to implement this type of ban.

The Keep Antibiotics Effective Act also requires the Department of Agriculture to collect publicly-available data on use of certain antimicrobial drugs in the state.

I wonder how long it will take Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne to take similar action. The science has been there since the Swann Report came out in England in 1969.

This would make a lot more sense than her neonicitinoid legislation.
