Premium Brands posts record sales, profits

Premium Brands Holding Corporation posted a record-breaking revenue of $577.4 million for its second quarter, a 24.7 per cent increase from a year ago.

Profits increased from $28.8 to $43.5 million.

After the quarter ended, it paid $2 million for a one-quarter share of a producer of artisan crackers in Seattle.

It also completed construction of a 212,000-square-foot sandwich production facility in Phoenix, Arizona.


The company is best known in Ontario for owning Piller’s Sausages and Delicatessens Ltd. of Waterloo.
