Two barns housing 4,000 hogs burned to the ground near
Townsend, not far from Jarvis, early Monday morning.
The alarm was turned in a 4:30 a.m., but firefighters were
not able to contain the blaze.
The hogs of all ages were a breeding operation.
There were also about 300 sheep and some cattle in the barns
which are joined by a passageway roof.
The loss estimate is $2 million.
