Roundup settlement leads to Bayer loss
A $10.9 billion deal to settle Roundup class action lawsuits in the United States left Bayer of Germany with a $15 billion loss for its second quarter.
The lawsuit figure includes other issues, such as dicamba drift, PCB contamination and reserves for Essure used for birth control.
On a different front, Elanco closed a deal to buy Bayer’s animal health division for $6.89 billion US.
