The Canadian Trade Commissioner Service’s CanExport SMEs program is offering help to small- and medium-sized businesses to expand their e-commerce service and to attend trade shows.
Up to $75,000 is available to hire software developers, to prepare for trade shows and to navigate new COVID-19-related trade barriers.
The aim is to help businesses to break into markets where they have little or no sales, the federal government said.
So far the CanExport SMEs program, which was launched in August last year, has supported 173 agricultural small businesses with more than $6 million.
