EarthRenew of Toronto said it has signed a non-binding letter of intent with Diamond Feeders of Colorado to build one of its plants to produce organic fertilizer pellets from a gas-fired turbine producing electricity.
That and $2 will get you a cup of coffee.
The plant uses hot exhaust to dry manure that is certified organic.
EarthRenew said a plant there will open the organic market in Southwestern United States, which is the largest organic market in North America.
Once the letter of intent is converted to a solid deal, the company said it will take two years to obtain permits and build the plant.
